Ultimately this will probably do race relations more harm than good. Nobody likes a victim, particularly when everybody have their own struggles. If these ‘protests’ were carried out with a quiet dignity then I’m sure it may have been positive but when you see mobs screaming at police, throwing things, vandalising monuments etc then all they are doing is self perpetuating an already negative stereotype.
