Tebbit was, at least, being honest a few months back.., During the 80's and Thacher's gov. "The protection of the establishment would have overridden other 'concerns'" So if you have the highest echelons being complicit by turning a blind eye then hardly surprising that the numerous abusive cvnts lower down the ladder thought every season was hunting season and there would be no problem. That's nonsense. You pick at a few cases and represent it as, 'the authorities'.....I very much doubt that 'the authorities' contain people within them who support the rape or abuse of children.

Large institutions by there very nature inflexible, slow moving and incompetent.

The reality is that you don't know what has happened in any one particular case and are just jumping onto the usual bandwangon as a generalism.

Where there is genuine evidence of a crime then it should be investigated......That is how the law works.....It doesn't work in hindsight.

These are complex situations that require common sense applied to them.....Unfortunately that's in short supply.

Could such a person endorse a cover up about a matter which could devastate their party,for political reasons? IMO entirely possible,just as with other prime ministers and other "cover ups" in the 20th century.
