Have some faith. I'm sure Palace will do all they can to secure Sakho. He's been fantastic for us. A player like Sakho needs love from fans and teammates to produce his best. Many fans thought we wouldn't sign Benteke and now his wearing red and blue. The fact remains Klopp still sees Sakho as a troublemaker and wants him to move. I'm sure Benteke can convince that se25 is the place to be.

Hmm. Klopp doesn't get on wiht Sakho. Klopp doesn't get on with Benteke. The common denominator is... Oh well, their loss.

I was one that openly questioned Sakhos ability before we signed him for what I had seen of him. But hold my hands up and say he's been absolutely outstanding (his unorthadox run is deceiving).. However, 30 mil is insanity in my opinion. We should perhaps be spending more on a scouting team if we really can't find a replacement for a lot less!

Sakho would walk into Liverpool and Arsenal's first XI, and you could make a decent case that he'd get into United's too. I completely agree that you can get players as good as Sakho for less than £30m. But how many CBs of that ability are Palace anywhere near the front of the queue for? I personally think Sakho is at least on par, if not better, than Van Dijk and we'd get absolutely nowhere near that signature. It may be inflated, but there's a chance his interest in us is inflated compared to other players. If there's any chance we can get him, we have to. (For the £10m argument, that's what Tomkins cost us. Compare how he was next to Dann to how he is next to Sakho, and that's the difference between a £10m CB and this guy. £10m would get us nothing anywhere near Sakho's ability)

Sahko is the latter.

I think that this weekend we shall see exactly what we look like without Sakho. But you would still need to make allowances for removing him from the squad entirely - it's clear that he's enhanced the performances of Tomkins and Kelly at least.

I think personally, he used us as a shop window - understandably. He has almost single handedly sorted our defence out, leading the line. If he goes and leaves, fair well and thank you. He could have stayed at KOP and we could have been relegated. Bringing in John Terry as a squad player, to have on the training ground, to come on for the second half, closing stages to see a draw/win out would be good, added to that another quality CB

If we're still signing has-beens in our fifth season back in the PL it would be a clear demonstration that we have made no progress whatsoever.
