Interesting old photographs but when I was a kid the Thornton Heath pond was full of water and usually old bottles and stones, the later version shown is the landscape version designed to smarten the area.

you may well remember the tiny tiny kiosk, well more of a hole in the wall under the bridge in bingham rd entrance / exit.
It reeked of heavy damp.
paper were piled up on the floor as there was so little room.

Kids,tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

OK who remembers this Scott's a disco but we had a party there as Fine Fare closed down in Peckham and had a closing bash there, we paid a price all food free, I think near Purley but can't remember.
