This is great news. Another quality signing if we get it done. Better than Armstrong and Nketiah. Just my opinion of course. COYP!!!
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong |

Someone, likely from a certain town on the south coast that shall remain nameless, has been having a laugh with Édouard's Wikipedia page already. You have to feel a bit sorry for Arsenal in terms of their valuations. They think Nketiah is worth £20m on the basis that they paid £80m for Pepe, £50m for White and £30m for Ramsdale. Somebody there needs sacking.

Somebody there needs sacking. It is a bit weird how they're holding out for £20mil for a largely unproven striker with only a year left on his contract. If he stays past the deadline it's hard to see Nketiah getting much game time for Arsenal this season and then he'll be gone for nowt next summer!! In any respect I'm fairly happy with Edouard. Hopefully he can hit the ground running!

I know virtually nothing about Edouard or Nketiah, but from what I've read, I prefer Edouard. The Celtic blogs seems to love him, and are full of well-wishes for him, and it seems like he wants to come here, which is huge. Plus he's had more success than Nketiah, even if it is in the Scottish League. Great piece of business, I hope, and a complete change of pace from the likes of Benteke, Mateta, Sorloth, etc. A few weeks from now, we could have Hughes, Eze, Olise, Edouard in our starting 11. Exciting times. Not saying it will work, but it's better on paper than we could have hoped.

Based on his old firm performance I have reservations but has to be better than Mateta. So looks like Eddie is an Eagle....

SSN reporting all but done with Edouard in London today for medical and personal terms, 19K a week at Celtic
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Still back Benteke to keep his place, but good to have options!
