At least that team is a bit taller and might not concede from another sodding set piece.

Schlupp to man mark TAA. Olise to be used only if we somehow still have a chance with 30 minutes to go. If he were to get injured too then we may as well just pack up and go home.

So you want to play a CB at RB & a RB at LB, have I got that right?

No, I would like to play a competent, fit, left back and right back.

Unfortunately we don't have a fit left back, the only alternative is Clyne.

Unfortunately we don't have a competent right back, the only alternative is Richards.

Moreover, if we get really under the cosh, that system would allow us to temporarily tuck Richards into 3 at CB and have Ayew drop into more of a RB role.

What's your idea?

Richards is NOT a RB, Clyne is. Schlupp/Jairo are left footed & have played LB for us. Unfortunately, We will both be wrong Roy knows best

Roy should try the Roman legion formation - basically every player stands on the goal line with shield in place, blocking out any gaps. Every now and again upon a suitable command all players charge forward and take the enemy, sorry opposition, by surprise.

Fear we will remain in turtle formation for the whole game.

Really doesn't matter what foot they are when Salah is making runs in behind them all afternoon - it has to be a full back at LB.

When Hodgson would rather play Richards in midfield than play Riedewald in his favoured position, I really don't want Riedewald in his unfavoured position against Salah.

Salah is the biggest threat. Play the best LB available - that is Clyne - and work everything else out afterwards.

At the moment it won't take much to confuse our team, they already seem bewitched, bothered and bewildered. Even if we play 10 at the back and leave Edouard to resurrect the old 'Gerry Queen' role up front (older fans will remember the valiant GQ) It didn't work then and won't now.

And Gerry was faster than lightening

They call him Gerry ,Gerry , faster than lightning (Ican't help myself) no one you see is faster than he .........

Put your money on Salah getting his 200 goal against us, then MOTD will have a collective meltdown about what a great player he is.
