Paul Barron Somewhere here I have t-shirt a mate sent me (from the days when we paid a fortune for Clive Allen)that reads : "I saw Paul Barron save a goal" cruel but funny I guess.
"If you choose to live in a world ruled by hamburger, that is your choice.. I choose to wipe them out. And if I have to, I can do it by myself. " |

In terms of the probable wages he was on at the time and the return we got for it, it's gotta be Brolin. We were no doubt paying ridiculous sums of cash to this overweight has been, who is only remembered for his Mr Bump impersonation against Leeds. At least with some of the other players mentioned, you knew they weren't on European salaries.

Quote redacted he scored once, and for a player who played 5 games off the bench, thats not too bad
As Danny Butterfield wheeled away, arms aloft in celebration of his third goal – an expression of delight and astonishment on his face – a man seated beside me in the stands turned to his young son and told him that he would remember this moment for the rest of his life. I will too. |

Brolin?! Brolin was excellent in his days! So we shouldn't put him here. Although he didn't play as well in a Palace shirt for what he did before, he shouldn't be included. I'd say Zohar...

There's been some appalling excuses for footballers but for the ridiculousness of still being our record signing, at a bargain £2.7m, it's got to be Ismael. Though in their time Steve Wicks and Paul Barron were complete and utter overpriced wa*k!
[Link] Lifelong Palace fan selling loads of Palace stuff I've collected over the years so please check out my Ebay store memorabilialane2011 Cheers, Ian |
