This Twitter thread makes worrying reading. Happy for anyone to allay my fears after they've read it...

They should rename this thread, 'read the triggered remoaners'.

June 24th is a party day in our house.....if it wasn't such a crap movie, I'd watch 'independence day' on it.

I am sure you have read your Freud, I am reminded of his description of Thanatos in Beyond the Pleasure Principle

In fact the attached is a lagging indicator, benefiting from the short term boost to the economy when our exports became extraordinarily cheap. The rising anxiety will carry on for a long time to come.

How can you be happy and anxious.

Anxiety takes up all your time trying to deal with your state of mind.

The whole point being that when we finally leave the EU a governing parliament can vote on its own employee rights.

Then you as a citizen can vote on whether you agree with them or not and actually have the chance of replacing the governing party at election times.

Decentralised power, closer to the people.

'and actually have the chance of replacing the governing party at election times'.

That is so typical of the brexiteer nonsense about control.

The UK government is elected by its own people now, nobody else.

People actually believe that stuff, its incredible.

Well I would hope not and it's how the Tories take things too far.

Stirling is right though. Vote for government and they govern everything until voted out. That's true democracy rather than the bureaucracy beyond our say.

What do we make of the article 50 author Lord Kerr's speech and media appearances today about Treez misleading the public about the fact Brexit can be easily stopped if things look too bad.

Was far more interested in Frank Fields take on events and his proposed amendment, one of the very few politicians with any degree of integrity
