I cant make my mind up about this one. 15 Million is a lot for such a risk. Plus I quite like our attacking options at the moment. I rate Gayle very highly, he is young and with the right guidance under Pards, i think he can do very well for us. Plus Sako can obviously finish and isnt afraid of having a go. On top that we have Bamford and Wickham, and then Chams when hes fully fit. But As much as I love Glen, I think it makes sense to say our goodbyes, 5 Million is very good money, especially for a 31 year old striker. This could make way for a pacey CB to partner Dann. Delaney looks to be struggling IMHO. He's 25, Clinton Morrison was banging them in for us as a 19 year old. I know he divides opinion Gayle but he's never going to be the striker we need. I'd love Austin here and it for meant selling Gayle and unfortunately Murray then I think we should be all over it. Austin can play the lone striker role and he can score. He'd be perfect for Palace. I really wonder why people think Gayle is young? Austin is only about 3 months older than him! So he must be young too.....and I'm only just 30. So am I young too? Ill be honest, i genuinely thought Gayle was 20/21, never looked into his actual age, Must say was a bit suprised! Looks about 16 still. So ill shut up now

I really wonder why people think Gayle is young? I've always thought this was a reference to the fact that they thought he looked vaguely like Ninja, but shorter, rather than his age. Perhaps I've been wrong all the time.

Not really because as a Palace supporter you start to age at about 10/12 and this process is very rapid and profound so,sorry mate,at 30 you are not really young anymore!.
