Some initial thoughts...

Politics/Current Affairs board would work. Maybe a new board means fresh "etiquette on debating" rules?

Then rename Football Talk to Sport Talk as probably not enough topics to cover two forums.

The revised General Talk would be anything that wouldn't involve politics such as celebrity, music, pop culture? Renamed Pop Culture Talk??

Can we have a posts per day limit for every user please? Would stop every. single. thread. being taken over by the same few posters who have far too much time on their hands for fully grown men.

The point of General Talk (which is what you asked) seems to be for the same half dozen people to try and verbally bash each other senseless on every single thread thus ensuring that the majority of HOLers who might have something to say, stay well away.

There should be two General Talk forums with the first exclusively for nickgusset, hedgehog50, Hrolf The Ganger and two or three more to argue with each other until the cows come home and a second forum for the rest of us who might want to discuss issues without the rabble rousers involved

I'd just prefer more moderation to stop the ones that descend into just slagging each other off, to try and stop threads going off track and to lock threads that are so far off their original topic it's absurd.
