Got to agree that Speroni had an uplifting effect yesterday. He is very good at interacting with the supporters and that gets us going. And because he is a long term hero he doesn't need to do much to create excitement. Edited by Mapletree (15 Oct 2017 1.08pm)

We beat the champions Chelsea 2-1 after losing seven on the spin.He had no chance with the goal and was solid despite little premier league game time in two years and being thirty eight. What a fantastic professional and example. Proper player.

All of our wins this season have been with Wayne not in goal. I definitely know who I don’t want in goal! Yet the Hennesey brigade still think he should be No1.

Speroni definitely deserves a run in the 1st team. I dont think Hennessey is in the right frame of mind atm, maybe we should stick with speroni and use Hennessey in the cup games until he gets some confidence back?

He gets so much stick due to him being f*cking useless, not commanding his area and has no respect from his defenders. Quite important things for being a goalkeeper I think... If you can scout a better keeper then I'm sure Roy would like to hear about it.

Quite important things for being a goalkeeper I think... Rubbish. Wayne is a competent Premier League and international goalkeeper who like almost all keepers makes the occasional mistake. Some "fans" have irrationally decided to turn him into the scapegoat for every goal we concede.
