Against Chelsea it should be a free hit, we don't expect to win so why not have a go.

I fully expect Roy to pick a defensive looking team and for us to go a goal down early on. Then Roy will sit on his hands and not put Franca on until 70 minutes.

If Franca doesn't start that will be really annoying. Yes he may not be ready, yes he may give the ball away but he has to learn so why not give him a go now, worse case we lose.

One more point

This is a distinct possibility. I just cannot believe it has got to the point where I don't want to watch the game, I’ve spent the weekend with a sense of relief that this weekend won’t be ruined by another sound beating where we barely raised a glove!
Although, of course I WILL watch the game despite the likelihood that it will make me miserable and send the blood pressure through the roof.

It is very hard to see us getting anything from this game. I thought we had a decent chance going into the away game against Chelsea as they were the one being inconsistent and having key players out. This proved to be the case with us losing narrowly to a late winner.
This time the momentum is with Chelsea. We probably have our 4 best players out ( Doucoure, Olise, Guehi and Eze ) plus are in the process of bedding in 2 new players ( Wharton and Munoz ) probably earlier than Roy would have liked.
You kind of expect a back to the wall defensive effort but even then apart from Ayew winning the odd free kick it is hard to see us providing much of a goal threat.
Team selection wise i would like to see Mateta start down the middle with Edouard on the left and Ayew on the right. I think Eouard offers more of a goal threat than Schlupp.
