For a start, I'd take anything about his apparent demands with a pinch of salt. That said, he is currently a PSG player; they're not exactly renowned for having a tight budget. He was always going to be expensive. When push comes to shove, I fully expect the club to do what's right for them overall. If he's too expensive then what will be will be. I've just had a quick look at player wages in the premier league. 100k is more than the likes of De Gea, Koscielny, Fellani and sort of around the same as Ramsey and Giroud. I would also factor in the importance of a player to a club. So the likes of Rooney and Sanchez are on 200-300k but the average wage on their teams is more like 70-80.

At time of this post odds 1/5 coming to palace and 4 to Wetspam. I would tend to these odds as the best indicator of where he'll end up. The Star did a clever thing to get some attention but it looks false.

Only slight worry is how he will fit in to a non French environment. His last two clubs have had a huge French feel to their squads and he obviously felt at home. We have a very small amount of French speakers so he will have to adapt. Only negative though, would be a huge signing if it happens.

The longer this drags on, are we getting more excited if it does happen or more worried if it doesn't ? This forum is great and I for one cannot help looking at it several times a day but should leave it alone until the deal is done or not. Can't do it though: once we're "in", we're in.
