Also, seeing as we don't need to sell, we would only do so for a lot of money and if Pards and the board had a replacement lined up in addition to a second new CB.

A lot of people raising their eyebrows at the inflated prices and wages being mooted. I think this is unrealistic. Given the huge boost to Premier clubs' incomes it naturally follows that there will be an immediate inflation in in transfers and wages. If the club's income has gone up 20% you can bet that agents are saying "where is our cut?"

There are rumours circulating that Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Yohan Cabaye for a club record fee.

According to L'Equipe, the former Newcastle midfielder turned down Atletico Madrid and 'a few other English clubs' to be reunited with Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park.
