Begovic is a highly paid number 2, why would he come here?

Jakapovic would be a great addition, only problem is his age, so little resell value.

That's not the harsh reality. That's what's called your opinion.

(I agree that we could do with an upgrade if one's available, but I'm just pointing out the difference.)

If Jordan Pickford played for Palace today against Chelsea at least four of the goals would have been blamed on him if he was Wayne Hennessey by the experts on goalkeeping on HOL.

FFS , How many times , we all would like an upgrade , but how much do you want to spend on it to achieve this upgrade ?

Look at Pickford today , would you spend 30 mill on that ?

Wayne Hennessey has made some amazing saves recently and has also had some howlers - just like all Goalkeepers.
In my opinion though he doesn't look like a safe pair of hands and I don't think he is a brave keeper either.
Too many silly mistakes in him as well.
I would be happier with a new choice but if Sam thinks he is the one then I run with that.
I think though that we will get someone else

For the billionth time, he's had an OK season. Some poor performances such as Chelsea at home, and some good ones such as Chelsea away. Yes we could improve on him, but nearly all the top clubs are looking for new keepers so there is little or no chance we could get Pickford or Begovic, and in any case Sunderland are quoting £30m for Pickford. As was said above, if WH had let in Willian's shot yesterday he'd have been pillories on here as usual.

Yesterday's defeat cost us £1.9m in prize money and so reduces the budget that Sam will have at his disposal. I imagine there are other positions of greater importance to him before he gets to the keeper.

You were for selling nearly all the squad, after you declared us as relegated in February, so your opinion in very questionable!

I doubt it. He's looked very frustrated by Hennessy on the touchline throughout his short time with us.

Don't be a t1t. I wasn't in favour of selling anyone. Was just facing the inevitable if we did go down.
