A great day of test cricket, no other sport does it for me when two teams try to overcome over 5 days. Today we saw a real ball by ball competition, with England holding out at the death. Apart from that stand by Stokes and Buttler they were all s***e. Only weapon left in the locker now is the rain dance. Pathetic showing all round.

You should credit the India team especially their bowling and fielding. 311-9 is pretty good IMO. You can see why India are number one but the series is all to play for.

England play like they have attention deficit disorder....I almost half expect them to get out their mobile phones at the end of overs....the Buttler/Stokes stand was a rare moment of focus.

Having seen 'Bumrah' on video this morning I would say England have a problem! Buttlers knock was excellent and he had a real Anderson-like examination from him, he does just about everything and is very quick and hostile the keeper taking the ball at chest height. As Boycott would say - get down the other end !

Another feeble collapse. 36 - 4. Looks like we've reverted to being a pi$$ poor shower of s***e.

Pope dropped after two tests! Bringing back Ali? A failed test match player. Playing Bairstow.....a batsman with a hairline finger fracture. I honestly think England have lost the plot.

As mentioned before - until we stop batting like it's a one day game we will struggle - our batsman seem unable to get into test match mode.

Five centuries in fifty tests with an average of 32.40. That's a failure. Ali is a one day player and to go back to him is taking away valuable experience for players like Pope.
