Team selection is crucial tonight. We got away with two old CBs at Newcastle but if Tomkins is fit he must return, ideally next to Kouyate. And this is a Clyne and Mitchell night. But it is further upfield that Roy needs to choose correctly. 433 with Luka, Jairo and Jimmy offering a solid base in the first hour, and Eze and Ayew either side of Benteke. Do it right snd we can grind out a draw with the hope of a bit of magic or a set piece enabling us to nick a win. Give him a break, he's just had surgery on his eye socket.

It happens. They have a much younger squad and are not having to cope with injury absentees now in double figures -including their 2 best players. Full squad early season and we'd stuff them. Which we did. Today a draw would be a decent result.

I see Lawrenson [ as predicted ] has predicted us to loss 2-0 . I am not sure what we have done to upset him . Has he ever predicted us to win a game ?

Someone earlier predicted a postponement - I think they're right.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

I have seen managers donning warm hats whilst watching their teams - I don't recall ever seeing Mr Hodgson with any such headgear. that's cos Roy is proper Croydon hard.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
