In fairness, they did move very slowly in the UK, and people have only been worried about what Muslims might think since about 2005. I remember when gay marriage was being campaigned against, that it was very much a 'muslim cause' and absolutely none of the Christian groups in society were against it, or throwing their weight around. Among the few Muslims I know, issues about being gay don't really come up, and the consensus seems to be its that persons business, not theirs. But then they're reasonable and intelligent people.[/quote] Your 'Muslim' friends, if they are truly consistent with their Islamic faith, certainly do not view YOU with the same respect. You, to them, are a low-life infidel. But they won't admit this to you (unless they are nominal Muslims ie: ignorant of their faith's own teaching) of which there are plenty. Muslims that are serious about their faith and really study their scriptures are a different story. If the majority of serious Muslim practitioners were as anti-terror as they claim, then why don't they blow the whistle on the terrorists that dwell openly in their communities? It is really time for people to wake up and put the 'politically correct' crap away and start calling a spade a spade.

Many people on here appear to have Muslim, evangelical and other similar friends from minorities who, whilst belonging to groups who oppose liberal ideas and concepts, magically tow the liberal line for the purposes of proving the poster's point.

Having read through this thread - yes perhaps I should get out more! - I can only conclude that many of those expressing opinions did not actually watch the titled programme. If they did then many are so blinkered by their political/religious/anti-religious views to see or appreciate the bigger picture which was the main point of the programme. I think everyone noticed this and you're right, the desire for Sharia Law and a state within a state is a concern for generations in future whilst we just laugh at them wasting their 20's with a few posters during working hours on Edgware Rd and other areas where there's a mix of Muslim and other cultures, mostly British. We laugh because they're currently a joke and Muslims who don;t follow Islam 24/7 and live in predominantly white or ethnically mixed areas think they're an embarrassment and get on with their lives.

It is amazing how people tell you what you want to hear. It is also funny how we suddenly take what Muslims say in public or to their Western friends as gospel. In truth it is probably better that we don't know what we all really think about each other. The truth hurts.
