Has already scored 8 and we need him.
Agree, some of Pardew's other signings were questionable,Mc Carthy , Mutch spring to mind.

I really do admire your positive thinking and loyalty and I hope you are right but in reality I know from what I have seen, on pro side he is a good header of the ball, however, on the con side, he lacks any real pace, cannot work the ball on the floor with any degree of skill and control, fails to work defenders when off the ball, stands around waiting for the ball to come to him, is not a secure penalty taker (unlike other good strikers), shows little interest in helping out at set play when our penalty area is under attack, he has had several press match ratings this season below five, which should be of great concern when you paid 32m for a player. Frankly I hope he is sold because i'm sure we can do better for the cash and whilst goals 8/20 is okay its not that brilliant, it equates to less than one per game!

That is the only time you will see him chase a ball. Normally he will stand there and wait for the ball to come to him and when it does he goes a few yards and gives up and ends up losing the ball. As I said he is lazy and it has been noticed by managers, commentators and even by our own managers and staff. I would think that is the reason he was sold by Liverpool.

Watford away, chasing a lost cause and winning a penalty then.

That's two occasions where his work has resulted directly in a goal or should have done.

Just because a manager like Klopp didn't think Benteke would fit his particular, ultra-aggressive, pressing style of play doesn't mean he's lazy.

Or maybe you'd rather re-sign Cameron Jerome if you just want your striker running around like a headless chicken?

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I want him. Without his goals we'd be down already.

He's on for scoring 15-20 goals this season. So, according to you because he won't score, say 25 goals weh should get rid of him? He's the best goal scorer the clb has ever had so far.

If he performs well in the second half of the season, which is highly likely, he will be worth at least £50M to the chinese in the summer. That is fact. We could be in for a major profit.
There is no point in any sort of emotional loyalty in football anymore. It has become hard nosed business nothing more nothing less. Everyone working in it is out for themselves no one else. There is zero loyalty to fans.
Benteke will be offered a minimum £200K a week in China. He would be mad not to take it and I would wish him luck and move on when we lose such a good player. But that is football today.

I do not think so Peter Simpson has that title with 54 in a season!

Selling Benteke is a dangerous gamble. With regard to the fact that Palace are not an attractive club and destination at all for the time being, I cannot see any reason to sell him. We simply cannot replace him with the same quality and with money spent on him.
In my view, he is not lazy at all, he is the score-leader of the squad and this is Benteke who won the most aerial duel for Palace as a striker. He is not strong enough in defending, but ahead of his shoulder injury, he fought hard last time. I hope he does not go anywhere and will play together well with Rémy as a key frontman.

We desperately need a natural left-footed good left-back and a reliable CB. Do you know another EPL squad without having left-footed LB? (Please do not take into consideration Zeki Fryers. He does his best, but Premier League can be too strong for him).
If we sell Benteke and we will not replace him and/or we cannot buy a good LB and a good CB, we will easily go down. Please, sell Mutch and/or Campbell, if you want to have some cash.

A propos, these newly outlined financial issues... Where are those Americans, who came to us?

You know, I think you might be just about right there.

Could be a clever ploy to put him in the shop window to get him to start playing better.
