I think it might me more along the lines that Riedewald is turning out to be more of a midfielder than the defender we maybe thought we were getting plus which Dann is out for the duration and we can't press Delaney any further. Riedewald was excellent in a more advanced role against Citeh, for example and one player we really need to take the pressure off is Cabaye. Physioroom still reckons Sakho will be fit from 4 February.

PALACE'S AMADOU BID REJECTED Sky sources: Crystal Palace have made an offer tonight to sign Lille’s highly-rated midfielder/defender Ibrahim Amadou on loan. The £2m loan fee offer with an option to buy has been dismissed out of hand by Lille, as they regard the offer as derisory and not worthy of consideration. They believe Amadou is worth £20m. This one should rage on until Deadline Day... If that's true it's a total farce. How many times have we been told the player is only going on an outright sale basis? We needn't be surprised if they put down the phone for good if we carry on like this.
