Looks like we are trying to flog Riedewald to raise funds to buy Jordan Ayew

From The Guardian two minutes ago: Jordan Ayew – wanted by Crystal Palace – is creeping towards the exit door at Swansea City. Of the 26-year old, last season’s top-scorer, new manager Graham Potter said: “There’s no further news on Jordan – he’s just not been here. That tells you that he’s not part of what we’re trying to do, by his own actions.”

Ed Aarons says we are confident of getting Ayew before Thursday's deadline.

Not sure of the validity of the reports, but it seems to be corroborated by the BBC: he is refusing to train with Swansea. Do we really want someone like that at Palace?

With our track record approaching the close of the window I wouldn’t be confident of anything .

I get the impression that our dressing room has been a fairly happy one and that there is a good team spirit. In fact it has probably been instrumental in seeing us through some of the tough times we experienced last season. Such things can easily be soured by a rotten apple. The last thing we want is some self-serving prima donna. Okay, in the end all footballers have their own interest at heart, but a good professional always puts a shift in for his club, and if their is a problem sorts it out behind the scenes rather than throwing their toys out of the pram.

Don’t forget we just signed Meyer - this is small potatoes compared to his hissy fit.
