Well done to the lad who designed the shirt. I hope your talents aren't being wasted. I accept it's not to everyone's taste but it's a good concept that warrants some recognition.

Well, I think the new yellow kit shows signs of an A Level design. Not in the least bit classy. It's so botched in the shoulder area. I'm very disappointed. I just hope home and away kits display a bit more design nous.

Each to their own and all that. Personally I'm quite relieved to hear the kit is just some fellas creation and not one that will actually be worn by the players. It's incredibly bland, and the fact that the colours are so commonplace just makes it even more so. Mind you, doesn't much matter now does it?! I'll tell you what I would consider though, that's changing the home kit back to white with a red and blue sash. Nothing else, none of the unnecessary modifications and 'modern twists' of so many of the recent away kits that were based on the original classic - just the original classic. Agreed, bring back The Sash.

The generic, forgettable design might have been overcome if the cut and style was top notch, but instead it looks like a substandard knock off. Might as well just have done the whole thing in the yellow with no trim bits and no stripe.

On the subject of fan designed kits, Atletico Mineiro in Brazil did a competition and have released this absolute beauty off the back of it with a detailed map of their region printed on it. I'm convinced that, even as a 3rd kit, they'd be a more successful revenue stream for the club and supplier. Attachment: Atletico Mineiro.jpeg (195.27Kb)

I love a classic kit, I have some really rare Palace Shirts but I have to say, that is one of the best shirts I have ever seen. It's a thing of beauty
