You can stay so long as you don't talk about being a vegan in every post. Your choice to be vegan but don't try and force it on others like loads of vegans do because if you do I will find you and force feed you some morleys chicken. You will thank me for it after. Thank you oh great one

Even 5 was an arbitrary number. 10 portions of fruit would, for many people put them over their caloric requirements. Not exact healthy. This chap loves his veg though There's loads of proof, what a silly thing to say

There's loads of proof, what a silly thing to say No there isn't. None. I have studied nutrition. The figures at the end of last year had no scientific basis. Five portions of veg is an estimate just like 10k steps and a whole host of other suggestions that have suddenly become gospel. The reality is that it certainly won't do you any harm but to suggest eating more is better is a fallacy

And why is it that veggies/vegans want to eat food that looks like sausages/burgers....why not look like flowers or plants.

Often for ease, if you live with meat eaters you can replace the meat with a soy alternative. Glamorgan sausage has been around for hundreds of years and I doubt that it was invented as a vegetarian option, just as something delicious !! I always have a couple of Linda Mcartney things in the freezer and some veggie sausages in the fridge for those occasions when I've been slack with shopping or I just fancy sausage and mash. Same with my parents as they are not used to cooking a vegetarian meal so it's easier for them to replace chicken with a quorn fillet, or a piece of pork with a soy burger.
