I have never known the club to issue updates on the progress of any transfer’s. It’s all media speculation and rumours until any player is officially announced as signed and length of the deal. Just be patient.

If it’s true we’ve agreed a fee with Lens, a salary with the player, and he’s been courted by Dougie and called by Patrick then we’ve done all we can do. It’s up to the player to decide if and when he signs. He may be sensibly doing his homework if he has other options. If he comes great. If he decides to go elsewhere good luck to him. It’s his loss. Meantime we’re exploring other midfield options. Makes sense not to put all our eggs in one basket. I have faith in CPFC!

I have it from a reasonably reliable source that we are awaiting a Work Permit for Doucoure but that he is allowed to train with the club on a visitor's permit. I assume that means he's here but I wasn't actually told that.

He would indeed be allowed to train on visitors visa, if training is not classed as employment but could not officially be paid
