Exactly my thinking everything was going smooth now this injury comes up and all of a sudden agent says benteke wants to fight for he's place at Liverpool I would say this is over

Clearly,has no intention of signing for us.
All a performance,by him and his agent,prolonging negotiations in the delusional hope that a bigger and better club will come in for him.

Best leave him to get on with his life on the bench at Liverpool and select our next target.

Berahino is better and younger than B eneteke and would be alot less on transfer fee and wages apparently we've inquired about him too that's what I've heard

Would be pretty embrassing if all this talk on B eneteke coming to palace over the last month and it all falls though we are now a established premiership team with more money than we've ever had with the new investment and still can't get the transfer over the line

Of course with that much money you can get better than him. Only trouble is, your now talking about the cream of European or south American talent in the £30 mill price range and 90% of those players await the big clubs to come in for them.

What we have found is one of those kind of players whose not currently attracting anyone bigger than us.

Maybe the poster above is correct, go for another striker on Wickhams level but invest heavily in an attacking midfielder who can supply from the central areas. Maybe that will fix our issue and wont require, for now at least, a top striker.
