Shocked?....Nope, it was inevitable and just a consequence of their ideology.

The Metropolitan Police in London is recruiting officers who are illiterate, can barely write English, and may have a criminal record in order to meet diversity quotas, it has been revealed.

I grew up there but I'm so glad I don't live in the smoke these days. The 'progressives' are slowly destroying the place.

We were lucky. Out longstanding suppliers stood by us and we didn't run out. The costs didn't increase as much as for many either. We were also given spare PPE by local schools and charities.

The issue, however, is that stocks were run down beforehand, despite that point and the risks it created being well known.

We all knew about this:

The government was warned four years before the covid-19 pandemic of the need to stockpile personal protective equipment, screen international travellers, and set up a contact tracing system in the event of a major outbreak of a coronavirus, a previously unpublished report has revealed.1

The report, which summarises key action points for a future pandemic after a simulation exercise, called exercise Alice, of a “large scale outbreak” of Middle East respiratory syndrome in February 2016, was commissioned by England’s former chief medical officer, Sally Davies, who attended with officials from the Department of Health for England, Public Health England, and NHS England.

I had a pre-written pandemic response protocol that I wrote well before 2016. We knew it would come, especially after SARS

But wasn't that one of the numerous problems encountered, that a vast quantity of the PPE was 'out of date' for safe usage?

This had presumably been stockpiled by the wholesalers, and would have also happened to any organisation doing likewise - unless they operated a very strictly controlled stock rotation system.

They knew it had gone out of date back in 2016. Yet they didn't get rid of it or replace it. And given the scale involved, of course they would have had a heavy duty stock control system (they use eDC and eDC Gold depending upon the value of the stock items) and would have been able to rotate stock correctly. It is just that nobody in Government thought it important at that time to replace the outdated items.

Moreover, PPE purchased at the start of the COVID crisis that proved not up to scratch now needs to be disposed of. 3.9 billion items.

They have changed the name of one of their departments from ‘Field Education Department’ to ‘Practicum Education Department’!

If any of you have books on World War II, you had better get a red pen and change all references to Field Marshal Montgomery - perhaps to Meadow Marshall Montgomery.

the Romans went stupid around the time of losing their empire, also. Including sexual debauchery & decadence.

the 'rule of law' went to hell, the currency went to the dogs, and there was debt, debt, and more debt.

Rome was swamped by immigration. New peoples all keen on being like Romans......but just too many of them.

while the Caesars were off fighting foreign battles, the homeland went to shyte with homelessness, starvation and mob law.

is it all looking very familiar ?

Before anyone makes the meaningless point that it's twenty years ago....zero consequences because the ideology has significant political protection. They are still at it and have never stopped.

Better not bash the dead white people who voted for Biden

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Unless it's a white 'progressive', a vote for Biden is a vote for masochism.

Polls show that most Minnesotans and most Americans disagree with the no-limits policy enshrined by the PRO Act. A 2022 KSTP/SurveyUSA poll found that only 30 percent of Minnesotans think abortion should always be legal.

Whereas in a 2014 Pew Research Center survey, 52% of Minnesota adults said that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. I wonder what has changed. I have a daughter born at 27 weeks so I have a dog in this fight.

The law requires:

Before viability, by a trained M.D. After viability, must be performed in the hospital. After the 20th week, 2nd M.D. must be immediately accessible for any resulting live birth.

Does this bring Minnesota into line with the UK? You can perform an abortion after 24 weeks where there is a risk to life or of permanent injury for the pregnant woman or substantial risk that, if the child were born, he or she would "suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped". This is not done lightly and has to involve a competent physician.

I suspect this is yet another dog whistle load of nonsense coming from the huge, nasty, well-funded and ultra conservative anti-abortion lobby in the US. I very much doubt a Doctor would abort a 27 week gestation foetus unless it is likely to be a still birth or to suffer very extreme disability.
