Im not surprised the americans were better off with that share out.
This is exactly the reason that the tories implimented the austerity package they did and are still doing. Imagine we all were richer but the debt doubled for the country.

Anybody can create an artificial boom by heavy borrowing.

Trump is doing it and we are no stranger to it.

What is different this time, it seems to me, is that the USA and UK for example will just go on printing money in this way regardless of the consequences.

Maybe they have figured out that it is all short-term and who the hell cares.

If we look at the post-WW2 USA loan to the UK so necessary to our re-building, when it was paid off by Gordon Brown all that was actually paid off 50 years later had become a forgotten pittance.

I am just back from 2 weeks in Ohio... on the radio there was a discussion between pro-trump and anti-trump... the pro-trump guy offered a bet of $5000 for him to tell him anything racist Trump has said.
The anti-guy said he described all Mexican immigrants as rapists.

The pro-Trump guy read the full quote about Trump saying that some are rapists, followed by the stat that 80% of females crossing the border are raped.
He also read out a report from amnesty international saying Mexican females are taking contraception because rape is so common... they're actually pre-planning for the prospect of being raped.

The anti-trump guy said he felt the number of Mexican rapists was closer to 30%.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," he said then. "They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
