Roy, as much as you and I are totally in tune in terms of our general world view (if you were a bird, I'd have shagged you senseless by now), your position re. Lunty is hard for me to understand. While I admire your olde worlde view about 'not bullying girls' and suchlike, we're talking about a serial attention seeker and, worse, cynical manipulator of the worst kind here. Not content with the constant meaningless flirting with more credulous of the HOL membership and constant reference to the fact that she's not getting any (eminently understandable in the light of recent events - any self respecting bloke would run several marathons to get away from someone like that), she has blatantly legged FH over here.

Ok, it's only fifteen notes but there really is a principle involved here. She's f*cked with the wrong people; people who will, without mercy, expose her for what she is. I really, really can't buy into this 'depression' business - there are several HOLers, myself included, who have confessed to suffering from this at one time or another and, as difficult as it patently is to deal with, it does not give anyone the right to take people for mugs while trying to play a busted 'poor me' card. An internet message board dedicated to the doings of a middling South London football club (for that is what we are) is not the place to try and play such a hand with any kind of expectation of sympathetic reception or, indeed, practical advice on how to deal with your demons.

In short, she's taken the piss, spectacularly, and has reaped the whirlwind she so assiduously sowed. On a personal, human level, she is to be pitied - but the way she played us all is worthy of nothing but utter contempt. I refer you to Bertie's earlier post on the subject which has expressed similar sentiments but almost certainly better.

The thing is, as you know, I'm a bit of a softy.
I actually text the girl on Saturday morning to see if she was ok. I got a really long text back. She told me of her past problems, some of which I am far too much of a gent to divulge on here.
What she told me really hit me hard!
She was very sorry to Ali (and rightly so as he is my mate).
There's no excuse for 'knocking' him. Myself and Ali, both being self employed, have talked about being 'knocked' before. I've had a situation in the past where I was told outright that I wasn't going to get paid for my work. At that point, I picked up a lump of 4 be 2 in order to take my 'money's worth' on said offender, only to be informed that the old bill would be called toute suite! I backed down, much to my anger!
It was for about £1,800 and I still wish death on this c*** to this day and that one day, I'll happen upon him in a dark alleyway, where upon I'll tell him the error of his ways, he'll pay me and then we'll shake eachother warmly by the throat!
