It just shows what the man was like that he took us down in two successive relegations but was/is universally adored by the Palace fans who were lucky enough to be around in his time at Selhurst.

We wer more than just a football club then. We were the business. Show business.

Very sad to hear. The Cup run, the fedora, the cigars, Fiona Richmond. Big Mal was a one off.

We'll all miss him. Hopefully CPFC2010 are of the age where they will share the fond memories and we will do something appropriate at the next home game.

Gutted.

I can't imagine there will be a minutes silence tomorrow somehow, best leaving that till the next home game.

A true charecter that will always be remembered in Palace history.

I think the minutes silence (or applause) will indeed be at tomorrow's game and will unfortunately be the ideal opportunity for the Millwall idiots to show how thick they really are, I am sure they will relish the opportunity to spoil it, they've got no respect for anyone.

Lets hope we can honour his memory by giving them a good hiding.
