1972 (born in 71) - My first words were Mum, Dad and 'Up the Palace'. My grandad who was a Palace fan all his life, god rest his soul, started instilling Palace into my brain as soon as he could. My Dad actually has an old reel to reel tape of me trying to say 'Up the Palace' as a baby. I've got red n blue blood me and i will fckin love Palace till the day i die.

1969/70 season, I was 14 or 15 and supporting Chelsea at the time. Also, getting pretty fed up running the gauntlet of skinheads on my way to and from Stamford Bridge every other Saturday.

I came to Selhurst to see Chelsea play Palace. Actually, I think Chelsea thrashed Palace something like 5-1 ...but clearly, I noticed something more than the football that day and thought what a nice friendly club CPFC was. The rest is a history!

I'm standing in a field somewhere in Kent - home of the 2010 Weald Cup

Supported Liverpool as a boy but always quite liked Palace as well. Then when I was 9 my Nan won tickets at my Welling primary school fate. I went to see Palace v Sheff Utd at the end of 85-86 season (ended 1-1). My Nan won tickets the next season but my Mum didn't get round to taking me. Went to the 2-0 victory at end of 1988 season (Does anyone know if this was Jim Cannon's last home match for Palace?). I actually went to three Charlton matches that season at Selhurst and bought my lucky Palace scarf at one of them!

Started going regularly during the promotion season of 88-89.

It must have been either 92 or 93.

The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him. Pilate couldn't find fault any in Him; Herod couldn't kill Him; Death couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold Him: Jesus, That's My King!

1/3/58, Div 3 south v. Aldershot, a 1-1 draw. 3 months before my 8th. birthday, and the only thing I can remember was feeling quite overwhelmed at so many people being in one place at the same time (though in fact there were only 12599 of us there).

Apparently my dad took me for the rest of the season, but I don`t really remember much about it.

From the following season onwards, though, I pretty much remember everything, and it was that season(58/59) when I realised that the only thing that really mattered in the great scheme of things was Palace.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

1976 - aged 9.
1st game at home to Rotherham. (Old Div 3 I think.)
Palace won 2-1, stood in the Arthur with my Dad.

1960

Had a couple of really big wins scoring 9 with the likes of Byrne and Summersby and Alfie Noakes!

Thought it would always be like that!!
The innocence of youth!
Bless!
