Parish has been viewing the boards this afternoon, is well aware of the excitement surrounding Howe, and is trying to do two things: - Calm the fans down my making it look like we have yet to make a decision - so it won't like we've lost out to Charlton if we do - Try and detract from the fact that Howe's first choice so that anyone else offered the job doesn't feel like second choice. I suspect it is too late to manage either of these things. I bizzare twist in the Palace rollercoaster this one - has been quite entertaining. We could really do with hitting the next bend with Eddie Howe on board though after all this.

If he doesn't want to join us then good riddance to him. He's not Jose Mourinho for f*ck's sake! Now let's give the job to a man who is pasionate about the club and would love to be Palace job. I think he's called Dougie.
