I already have utmost respect for this guy - he is obviously very loyal. If he does choose us, I hope he can put his heart into the job as much as he has at Bournemouth. Will feel sad for Bournemouth though. Can't see him wanting to go to the Grim North. And the other major factor, from a girlie point of view, he is the best looking candidate for deffo!

I thought the most telling part of the interview was when he was asked about the AFCB board. He seem to suggest there were some issues going on there with them

I know Managers always say "I love a challenge" but this seems a bit daft to me. We are only 1 point off safety, its hardly like were in dire staits like Preston. Perhaps Howe feels he cannot take the club any further if his best players keep getting sold.

Eddie Howe is definitely leaving AFCB, and almost certainly to Crystal Palace, rather than Charlton or Burnley. On Sunday/Monday he will say: "Hardest decitions of my life...I love Bournemouth... but it's the right move... too good an opportunity to turn down", etc. And who can blame him? He has taken Bournemouth far above anyone expected when he took the job two years ago. There is simply no money at Bournemouth for a shot at the Championship (should AFCB get promoted). We have a property developer/wide boy chairman who struck lucky when he appointed EH (because EH was the youth team coach ie cheap!).

There are rumblings of discontent between Howe and their chairman/owner Eddie Mitchell if some people are to be believed. Mainly over the selling of their star players over his head, I believe, not a new a thing for Mitchell given he's got form for it - selling Brian Stock and Wade Elliott over Sean O'Driscoll's (I think) head. We are a bigger club than Bournemouth historically, it's just a question of whether Eddie Howe wants to carry on what he started or take another club in relatively dire straits in a higher division upwards. He clearly loves Bournemouth given he spent his young years there, and much of his career - it's heart vs. head. I don't envy his decision one bit. I really do hope he comes but fully respect him if he stays - I must say I think the whole thing so far has been handled brilliant by Bournemouth, CPFC2010 and Howe himself. Very dignified, as it should be.

Hey there guys, Cherry in peace here. You're not wrong in your observation of ourselves and Eddie. We love him, he loves us. If not for him, we'd be out of the league and probably out of business. He picked us up and has never let go and dragged us to one of the best periods in our history. Though I'm not old enough to remember, my dad still remembers standing alongside Eddie Howe and his old man when he was a young man in the South End. He's gone from a young lad in our youth system to one of the greatest manager's in our history, and in doing so, has created a buzz I can't remember. The football we played again today was a joy behold and something I've not seen before, even during the Sean O'Driscoll era. The feeling inside the ground from all was not just hope, but genuine thoughts that he would choose his heart and stay with us for a little bit longer, especially with our position in the league. His actions did not seem one of a man that is resigned to going. Indeed, his interview suggests he is torn. I'm sure he sees a move to you as a potential next step in his career, but of course, he needs to weigh up whether there is enough scope and whether we are really that much worse off on and off the pitch than yourselves. It's true to say there have been rumours about our board. We have sold both of our strikers, but I think the impact that has had on Howe himself has been played up a little. After all, we're a selling club and always have sold. We once let three star midfielders go to Burnley in Wade Elliot, John Spicer and Gareth O'Connor. All in all, it's still too close to call. We want him to stay and myself and everyone else made that clear. He seemed genuinely moved and the laughing of Tindall (our assistant) and the way they all acted made me think there's a good chance he will stay. For our sake, I hope he does. It's been a pleasure being a fan, turning up watching this football week after week. We've not had much to shout about over the last 15 years and I so hope this is not the end of what is probably one of our greatest era's. Good luck for the rest of the season. I don't wish to see you managed by our king when we come up next season.
