V. Bristol R. div3 1960`s. A defender headed a Cliff Holton free kick off the line. He was out cold for a good few minutes.Holmesdale end.

Johnny Byrne taking the p*ss against (I think) Mansfield, div 4 late 50`s.
Through on his own rounded the keeper, waited for him to recover, dribbled round him again, waited for a defender to get tantalisingly close and put the ball away.Holmesdale end again.

About 1962,first home game of the season, on the Holmesdale.Giving a bit of cheek to some bloke who got fed up with it (well I was only 12).
Turned out he had a load of Evening Standard Palace fixture lists. He gave one to all the other lads but wouldn`t let me have one.B*****d.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

Chris Coleman scoring a very slow goal V Chelsea in the coca cola cup (if i remember rightly), the ball sliding in the mud and just over the line.
I always remember him turning to the away fans and shouting "f*** off!!!!"

I was at that game, with my elder brother who is staunch chelsea and was a very sore loser saying they lost the game to the mud.

Hahaha... they had a shot that was going in but got stuck in the mud and was saved too.

I was sitting in one of the boxes above the white horse for this game, and it took an eternity for that ball to cross the line! when it did i punched the air, and smashed my hand on the roof!!
Grant watts also got a couple that day!!

Just when I thought that I was out...........they pull me back in

Away at Bristol Rovers in the cup, 2006 or 2007 I think, absolutely peeing it down in a miserable midweek game. Cracking goal by Dougie to put us in front tho we lost on pens, and remember Kuqi being absolutely terrible.

Memorable moment apart from Dougie's goal, Kuqi missing a sitter right in front of the Palace fans, yelling and kicking the net in frustration, then getting his boot tangled in the net and tripping as he tried to move away, to the laughter of the Palace fans. I think he missed his penalty in the shootout as well...

Apart from that random error he was a steady Centre Half,as they were called then, and Alan Stephenson took his place,as I recall.

........................Then along came Johnny Byrne! and the rest, as they say, is history.....................

A match against Blackpool on a freezing cold late December afternoon in 1968 abandoned at half-time due to the pitch freezing up.

Palace v Blackburn in 1997 - the only occassion ever in all the years I have been going to games when the ball has been punted into the crowd and I have been the one to catch it.

May '79 and the smell of marijuana wafting through the spring evening air at the Holmesdale whilst waiting for the Burnley game to start.

The sickening humiliation of being present at the Goldstone Boxing Day '79 when the unmentionable turned us over 0-3.

Standing on the grassy, rubbly bit above the terracing where the Arthur now stands with my arm around my girlfriend Linda, watching us beat Norwich 6-0, Easter 1968.

Must have been his finest hour in a Palace shirt. He looked like a little boy but played like a man that night.
