After watching danny granville turn up for the man city masters team it got me thinking about how drastically he deteriorated after our last prem venture. Always a fan of a cultured fullback and it was rather heartbreaking to see him fall out of favour in even the lower leagues!
Thought this could be an interesting topic to discuss. Other palace players to have taken the full brunt of the early thirties of who you always had fond memories of?
Also why could other players like Chris Powell play well into what seemed like his fifties?

P.S. This does sound rather depressing and I would like to point out I have not been drinking gin.

It takes two to lie. One to lie and One to listen.

Danny will always be bought a drink in SE25 for that free kick winner v Millwall.....

In answer to your question why some players play top level well into their 30's, not sure, might be the ones who smoke that start to struggle the earliest.
