My favorite player never played much as he was always injured, Kevin Mabbutt. Can't really remember too much about him, as I was only about 10ish, but always remember listening out for his name over the tannoy before every game and would be disappointed not to hear it. Then he was named as a sub, away at the clowns and I was over the moon!

Others to stand out would be... The whole team when I first got taken to Selhurst in '78/79 season, but I guess that was falling in love with Palace!? Of course, Gilbert, Cannon, Hilaire and well, I could go on, but all the names mentioned by others above are good shouts, so I'm going to stick with Mabbutt!

What about me!

My goal ratio was pretty good.

What about that goal I scored at Wrexham....

A new era of total football is on the way to Selhurst Park!!

Ive been going to the Palace for 25 years - my dad talks fondly of John "Yoghi"? But I would have to say Ian Wright who was just brilliant to watch, Andy Gray, John Salako, Gary Thompson and the cult hero that was Eric "The Ninja"!

Over the years there have been many for me, but the real stand out ones are Jacko, Don Rogers, Peter Taylor, Jim Cannon, Swindle, Sansom, Geoff Thomas, Wright & Bright, Ninja, Martin, Hughesy, AJ and Speroni.

Mine was Tony Popovic.

Reason being because I liked his style of play, he would give his all and if i was playing football (I wish I still played, even just kickabout) I would see myself as playing anywhere in defence (specificly CB).

When I did play matches I always felt like I had similar style of play.

(Lets be fair as well if your going to score an own goal at least do it in style like his one against pompey (I think it was)in the prem. lol)

Here'e Popovic's stylish own goal.

Alex Kolinko - I used him as a model for my eccentric play of fine shot stopping and clumsy mistakes. First footballer I have ever got the back of my shirt!
