I remember it very well.Used to frequent the place every Sunday night in the early 70`s ,but only to see Prog Rock bands,like Camel,Black Oak Arkansas,Curved Air,Thin Lizzy,Motorhead(1st ever concert for them), ooooo the list was endless,groups in their early stages of development....

MONITORGEEZER, went to all those gigs. The Lurkers were my fav band at the time. After their gig my ears were ringing foe two days -SO LOUD !!!!!!

saw my first gig there too - Budgie in 1975. At the end, the drummer threw his sticks into the crowd and one hit my best mate in the face !!

I bet he was chuffed, nowadays there would be a solicitors letter and trauma counselling following that incident

Worked in the Snooker club for a couple of years,right up to when the Greyhound closed,happy days
