Saw Gen X supported by the Cure. If my drunken memory serves me well,some punk bird got on the stage and pulled a lump of Billy Idols hair out and he left the stage refusing to come back on. Then went to see the Banshees and the stage pretty well collapsed. Gig cancelled. Brilliant place,loved it. Is the Cartoon still going???????????? Saw Gen X supported by the Cure.

Never managed to go ( too young ) but was a favourite haunt of legendary local punk band The Damned ( The Doomed in the poster you uploaded is The Damned with Lemmy from Motorhead on bass ). What a fantastic thread. I had greatness on my doorstep and never knew it. Would have loved to have seen The Jam back in the early 80's when they were raw, angry and......together. I know the venues and can almost get nostalgic with you guys without even had been there. When i see him, it's gonna be painful. Skinny little cont.
