On seeing the title my first thought was Wrexham 1977, Harkouk & Bourne. Then I read all the posts....

Can they really have been better than Hopkin at Wembley or Freedman at Stockport?

And then M<Anuff at Brighton, our first win down there for 43 years or so.

To be honest, every late, winning goal, is sweet - Easter v Coventry last season as an example.

Zaha, Williams, Murray, Ambrose, Scannell.

A 5-man forward line who scored 3 goals in 10 minutes on 27th September 2011 at .......................

Obviously Freedman and Hopkins goals have to up there as the best.

But for me, being 10 years old and understanding football very well at that age watching the play offs against Sunderland in the second leg in the Clifton was painful. Remember sitting there at half time 2-0 down with a tear in my eye. All that pain until big Darren Powell came on. What a night that was.

Went all the way to Sunderland with my old man who told my Mum that we were going to visit family. I've only seen my Dad cry twice, that was one of them.

Got to be Hopkin. First live game Dad took me too. Epic.

Although Murray's winner against United in the cup was pretty epic. Can't remember exactly how late on it was though?

Brian Deane for West Ham must surely count as a goal for Palace

dean gordon. last min againdt derby.

just simply one of the greatest goals in football let alone palace.

Yes Yes Yes....

Even better for me because I took the father in law who is a Derby fan and we had been losing for most of the match and he was loving it.

Deano did the business then it absolutely p1ssed down as we walked back to the car, but I had a grin from ear to ear.

Fantastic goal!

The Scannell and Easter double against Coventry last year was pretty special.

Williams came off the bench and changed the game, must've been one of his first appearances. Wilf was in fanatastic form last 15 minutes as well.

Randomly 2 games that stick out are 2 games I didn't go to -

Definitely Powell's goal against Sunderland. I was in the Walkabout Croydon with a hundreds of other Palace and went absolutely mental, dancing on tables - great night.

And of course Dazza & Muzza against the scum in their first league defeat at the Gaymex. Brilliant.

Walshy's against Burnley promotion decider in '79 in front of 55,000 (official fig:51,810 but that be bollocks due to wallclimbing etc) felt very very nervewracking late. But it was only the 70th minute.

55,000 at Selhurst Park - Hard to believe, isn't it?

But as one of the lucky ones I can confirm it is true.
