I don't believe for one second you wouldn't fight your corner if you were being set up but the law says otherwise and go meekly stu. The scale of the thing is huge but the principle is the same. Innocent until proven guilty. Why, for example, have the Ecuadoreans not thrown him out if, in their opinion, he has a case to answer? They must be pissing off the US too. I don't believe for one second you wouldn't fight your corner if you were being set up but the law says otherwise and go meekly stu.

The scale of the thing is huge but the principle is the same. Innocent until proven guilty. Why, for example, have the Ecuadoreans not thrown him out if, in their opinion, he has a case to answer? They must be pissing off the US too.

I just love the hypocrisy of some on the left over this affair. When someone they don't like is breaking, often in their own subjective opinion, international law they scream bloody blue murder. However, when someone they consider a good egg is accused of a crime, it's automatically a put up. No proof of that of course except their own armchair suspicions. The great satan America behind every corner, who knows it might be true or might not be.....That's what a court system is designed for. I just love the hypocrisy of some on the left over this affair.

When someone they don't like is breaking, often in their own subjective opinion, international law they scream bloody blue murder.

However, when someone they consider a good egg is accused of a crime, it's automatically a put up. No proof of that of course except their own armchair suspicions.

The great satan America behind every corner, who knows it might be true or might not be.....That's what a court system is designed for.

But apparently we don't need to follow international law but bend it a bit so that their 'freedom fighter' is protected.

I may want to see more transparency from Governments but I really dont want that achieved by Assange and his bunch of anarchic conspiracy theorists who are utterly irresponsible in their activities. Wikileaks is not about genuine whistleblowing but is about the sad geeky kids wanting some attention - and putting lives and relationships in danger as a result. The man should be tried for the rape in Sweden, then tried for the leaks in whichever country wants to bear the cost, or which would lock him away for longest.
