Or he could be given safe passage to a Quito bound plane from Heathrow if evidence from Sweden is suspect rather than hand him over to the Americans via Stockholm and a 50 year prison sentence for speaking freely.

We'll just ignore international law then will we? If we're gonna do that I'd rather storm the embassy and accidentally kill him.

Come on you bleeding heart lefties. That's 2000 baby incubators he's cost, or 28,000 weeks of state pension.

So you want to hand him over to, possibly, the US - not so great international law abiders themselves? 50 years in prison there will pay for 20000 incubators.

I couldn't care less. I said at the very start that this prick would get his comeuppance for thinking he is untouchable.

Should never have come to the UK to start with and his own nation doesn't want to get involved.

It also will not happen. Enjoy:

"In reality, the best opportunity for the United States for Assange to be extradited is whilst he is in the United Kingdom."

But he is not in the UK, is he?

Also, he has been accused of rape. Not been found guilty of but accused of. If he has a case to answer then fair enough but until then isn't it obvious and wise to presume innocence and to presume some very powerful people want him put away for a very long time. But not for rape.

Yes he is in the UK, I suggest you read the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic relations. Enjoy: [Link]

Not a good argument against being extradited from the UK to Sweden when you stand more chance of what you're fighting against, by staying where you are.

Who said he'd been found guilty? I want him to go and face trial but more specifically to f*** off and stop costing us money.

So you want him to go even if he is being, as quite likely, set up? Would you in the same position?

Yep. That's how the law works, what he thinks (and you for that matter) might happen is neither here nor there.

I wouldn't put myself in such a stupid position as to piss off entire countries, specifically their government and law agencies.

If ever there was anyone with delusions of grandeur it's this prick.

I don't believe for one second you wouldn't fight your corner if you were being set up but the law says otherwise and go meekly stu.

The scale of the thing is huge but the principle is the same. Innocent until proven guilty. Why, for example, have the Ecuadoreans not thrown him out if, in their opinion, he has a case to answer? They must be pissing off the US too.

Fair enough. But in return we should take back and imprison and pay for the many hundreds, possibly more than a thousand, of UK prisoners held in various overseas jails and being paid for by those respective foreign governments, don't you agree?

That is up to the governments concerned, lets just worry about getting our own house in order.I am sure the respective government are big enough and ugly enough to sort their own problems.

I'd fight my corner but I wouldn't go and hide behind another country's immunity.

The Ecuadorians are loving the profile, who gives a s*** about them at any other time? They have an idiot leader in Correa, and yes he is pissing off the US and will cost his country billions in US trade.

I just love the hypocrisy of some on the left over this affair.

When someone they don't like is breaking, often in their own subjective opinion, international law they scream bloody blue murder.

However, when someone they consider a good egg is accused of a crime, it's automatically a put up. No proof of that of course except their own armchair suspicions.

The great satan America behind every corner, who knows it might be true or might not be.....That's what a court system is designed for.

But apparently we don't need to follow international law but bend it a bit so that their 'freedom fighter' is protected.

Cake and eat it too.

I even tried using heartstrings bingo without success.

Only interested in themselves and their causes, not what they purport to stand for.

I may want to see more transparency from Governments but I really dont want that achieved by Assange and his bunch of anarchic conspiracy theorists who are utterly irresponsible in their activities. Wikileaks is not about genuine whistleblowing but is about the sad geeky kids wanting some attention - and putting lives and relationships in danger as a result.

The man should be tried for the rape in Sweden, then tried for the leaks in whichever country wants to bear the cost, or which would lock him away for longest.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand!

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.
