Would have to be the Manic Street Preachers at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Though something tells me the Kaisers in October have a good chance of being a whole lot better.

The Libertines - The day Pete Doherty was released from prison for robbing Carl's flat.

I'll never forget it!

ride - town and country again, 89 i think, s**t, was well into them but spent most of the gig gazing at me shoooooz. eat a three-course meal off the riffage.

aphex twin/black dog extravaganza, 93/94 - town and country AGAIN - meshed to f**k on a laserbeam casserole WITH HAMMERS!

orbital in brighton, around about 2000, they knew how to work a computer those boys

Went to watch The Dead 60's On tuesday in Brighton, they had the air of a brand new band so keen to impress which meant an amazingly energetic set, mixed with a suprising amount of experience and maturity for a new band.

Great gig.

Although, my favourite would have to be Jimmy Cliff a few years ago, great concert.

Totally weird...walking down the street on the way to the pub with a mate and some hobo looking fella handed us a flyer and said "this will change your life". I wasn't really into the Libertines at that point but my friend convinced me to go and i haven't looked back since.

For sheer entertainment value it's got to be ELO at Wembley in 78 with their amazing spaceship and lasers.

The most significant is seeing Iron Maiden a few times at The Ruskin Arms in East Ham,circa 1979/80 way before they hit the big time and saying to mates, "they're gonna be huge one day"
I think the band still mention a tribute to the pub on every album.

Madness at Finsbury Park in 1996, it was also the same day that England beat Spain in the Euro 96 quarter finals. f***ing blindin concert and they showed the game on a big screen.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
