Ward is an excellent footballer, but he is poor in central midfield. Far better to have him at right back, as he defends and crosses better than Mariappa. O'Keeffe never lets us down and deserves his chance if KG is crocked. Even better, let's buys this Ossasuna giant and pair him with Jedi. Job done. While we're on full backs, is Moxey not better than Parr?

I wouldn't say he's poor in midfielder by any means but he is better in right back yes. Hopefully Pulis has the intention of returning him to right back after some business in the window.

Absolutely no doubt Ward is best at right back. Mariappa is fine but there was more Stoke activity down our right than the left. That wouldn't have been the case if Ward had been in his proper position. He is a beast at right back, world class. He is 'quite good' in central mid.

Wasn't it Marriapa who got forward down the right, then gave it to Puncheon who scored the winning goal..... I,m quite glad he was playing there today.
