....equates to a 2 game ban. Jedi & Chamakh are currently on 8 apiece with Mariappa 1 behind on 7. The cut off date is the second sunday in April(13th), which means that if either Jedi or Chamakh(if playing) get a couple of yellows in our 2 games, Cardiff Away/Villa Home they will incur a 2 game ban. These will affect Everton away(weds 16th) & Wet Spam away(sat 19th). Also worth noting that Gareth Barry(Everton) is on 9 yellows, so big possibility he'd miss our game V's them..... Thought...?

How has Mariappa managed 7 yellows considering he's barely played in half our matches

We have to play with nothing else on our mind against Cardiff. If Jedi picks up a yellow card so be it. I'm sure he can manage to not get himself booked in the Villa home match though. If we get a point off Cardiff, it'll be mighty tempting to rest the captain and play O'Keefe at home. Edited by leejaneagles (01 Apr 2014 12.58pm)

Sorry BW, they haven't been wiped out, the 5 yellow 1 game ban ended at the end of Dec, it now carries on as a 2 game ban for reaching 10 yellows, then it carries onto the end of the season with 15 yellows incuring a 3 game ban to be carried over through to next season if needed.

Is it a 2 game ban even if you didn't accumulate the 5 to trigger a 1 game ban before January?
Optimistic as ever |

At the end of January anybody who got to five yellows did not get a suspension, however cards were not wiped off. According to the Premier League site Jedinak only has seven yellows.

If a player had racked up 10 yellows before Jan they still would've incurred a 2 game ban with an optional 1 game ban for racking up so many yellows in such a short space of time, not always enforced I might add.

Jedi has only got 7 yellows, so won't get that ban unless he picks up a red. Chamakh has 8, so a bit more likely, however i'd prefer to have ihim in the team, esp vs villa.

Would rather have someone else if Jedi can't play - maybe Ward.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |
