Christmas Curse - bottom of table

We all know of the curse, be bottom of the table at Christmas and you can never get out of jail by the end of the season. The later in the season that you are bottom, the tougher an escape is. Funnily enough, we were nailed to the floor of the table in mid January - all the wise money had us dead and buried. ( and on the same day, Arsenal were top !!! )

Only West Brom - in 2005 - have broken the christmas curse, and at the expense of Palace.

so, any thoughts or observations ? apart from the obvious of Pulis being a managerial wunderkind.

We were only very briefly on the bottom in January, after the Spurs game on Jan 11th, we were off the bottom after beating Stoke the following game, prior to that we had only been bottom and then only for 4 days since on 30th Nov after the Norwich game, and again for 12 days at the end of Oct.

The first two games of the season we were rooted to the foot of the table, since then we have spent only 22 days at the bottom.

Spot on! And at no point were we ever cut adrift in terms of points. It truly was a thrilling season at both ends of the table in this regard.

And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways
