Petrescu sacked. Meulensteen sacked. OGS needs sacking. Karanka - W++++r. Well done to the Board, KM in the interim and TP since his appointment.

I wholly endorse these sentiments.

I was thinking of posting something like this earlier.. spot on gribs... I remember all the talk when we were waiting ages for an appointment and there were loads of managers names being bandied about including pulis. Dropped out the running then he was announced and I, along with many others, was very dubious about his appointment. He has done an amazing job. To take a team that had won 1 game at of 10 at the start of the season and take us to where we are is an amazing turnaround. Moty? The man should be crowned king of england (ahead of p charles) if he keeps us up.

If he does keep us up I will personally build a statue of him on the Holmesdale road out of concrete and my own blood. I will then add a stone table there and conduct a voodoo ceremony before each game where we shall cause harm to the oppositions player and managers. We will then all dance around his statue and treat him like a god.

Saw this article on Newsbeat which really vindicates the appointment of Pulis and the time taken by the Board over the decision. At the time there was a lot of criticism, both here and in the media, over the delay in finding a replacement for Holloway.

But Parish et al have won the plaudits for avoiding the short termism that other clubs (Fulham the worst culprits) have fallen into in getting rid of a manager when results have been disappointing and rushing in another, sometimes less proven in top flight football.

We're 5 places (and 27 points) better off than where we were when Pulis joined. Compare that to Fulham, Sunderland, West Brom, Swansea and Cardiff and it's massive.

As well as that, the club have looked to the long term future of Palace during the season, invested in facilities, the academy, and had a much improved approach to transfers in January.

Moody and Millen deserve praise for the latter, but the owners in keeping Millen to give some continuity have got it spot on (just look how getting rid of the whole backroom staff has fared at Man Utd).

None of this is to say we're safe, and we may still go down, but we have conducted ourselves a darn sight better than the other clubs around us. Swansea, West Brom and Fulham all have stronger squads than us, but are languishing because of the way they've been (mis)managed this season.

I hope more teams look at the way Palace have done things and learn from us. Sadly, this will only happen if we secure our Premier League status, which Pulis and the team have given us the very best chance of doing.

Even if Palace are relegated, the Palace club and board are to be lauded. This is the way to run a club. Sensibly careful. No rash decisions. Judge the character of your man. Do not behave in any other way than with dignity. A lesson for all business. This, irrespective of the outcome of our season.

I cant believe no one talks about this as a reason for utd's demise, when shankly left liverpool the 'bootroom' was kept and paisley then fagan wwere promoted from it keeping a continuity of success.

Anyway, back to palace and pulis, yes fantastic work from the board. The 2 main factors in staying up in the PL are experience and togetherness, pulis brought both of those factors to our inexperienced team and has been brilliant

Hahaha....coming from the guy that wants the Board to 'think big' by building a new stadium.. now!!

That made me laugh...
