Have to agree with Dave here. The Cardiff letter was clearly given to Bond, who got a massive hard-on about it and wrote his great long piece quoting extensively, and even with the rogue Dougie text word-for-word (where did that come from?), which was followed up by all the BBC outlets - 5Live's leading sports item all day and even on the Today show for f*ck's sake!

Everybody else either ignored it or reported it in a much more proportionate way than the BBC and Bond, who appeared to swallow the Cardiff view hook line & sinker. They went full speed ahead on a non-story and now look stupid. Even on 5Live tonight they led on "Cardiff and Palace at WAR over spygate!" then when it actually came to the story all the ex-players and journo's on there said it was a load of tosh & embarrassing for Cardiff & Tan.

Tan is now even more of a laughing stock than he was, and David Bond looks an amateurish tw*t for giving it the biggun as if it was Watergate.

Let's not let it take the shine off what has been an incredible and historic season which we will all remember for a very long time to come.

Well yeh. As I was writing this it did occur to me that the BBC is supposed to be public service broadcasting so really should aim to be objective. But sadly it's schizofrenic on whether it is there to attract viewers and attention or to portray the news as accurately as possible.

Tan is an absolute cretin. Cardiff faithful must long to be well shot of him.First he changed The Blues to the (third rate) Reds. Then effectively constructively dismissed Malky Mackay and brought in Solskjaer who is, even talking charitably, well out of his depth managing a train-wreck of a club and now his board wants to claim we have gained massive advantage by learning their starting 11.

Absolute farce. Sympathy to the Cardiff fans.

Great journalism. Got lots of attention for a story that was relatively BBC centred. Just because it's a load of old tosh doesn't mean the journalists haven't done theirI beg to differ

In terms of journalism in general, I agree. But the sports editor of the BBC had 'found' his own personal exclusive and decided to lead his own sports page with it. I expect the BBC to behave a little better than the Daily Mail, at least on its news pages.

If this story proves to be the farce it looks like and the Sports Editor, David Bond, is shown to have pushed his own agenda instead of managing his own news pages, then both he and the BBC should be brought to account.

Cardiff are a disgrace,they should be in the Welsh league playing Total network solutions and carphilly town,going down,going down,going down.
