It would be hilarious if disaffected Tories and UKIP voters helped Nige get his 15% but, ironically, handed the keys to Downing Street to Labour and the very leftie-pc people they so abhor in doing so.

Tragic comedy gold that

The 'tragic comedy gold' of the election will be Labour not winning power because they have completely alienated their traditional heartland in Scotland.

I heard on the radio, no party has had so many scandals in such a short time but it almost seems that the hard core don't seem to think that they are doing anything wrong perhaps it reflects their own day-to-day practices and how they treat other people.....or perhaps Cameroon has alienated too badly too many disaffected Tories.

I think no party has had so many REPORTED scandals, but UKIP are under intense scrutiny from all sides.

Behind the scenes, the likes of Rifkind and Straw's colleagues are getting away with the usual political incentives and sleaze safe in the knowledge that the media are only really interested in what Farage and Co are up to.

Yep - when they were seen as a novelty jokey fringe they got v. little coverage other than as Colonel Blimp type eccentric loons as the mainstream parties didn't need to worry and the media outlets that, (left and right) shore them up didn't need to spotlight them too much.

Since they gained momentum, and more importantly votes from Labour and Tory, the media masters of each have gone into overdrive....which shows a) UKIP have them worried and b) To what depths have British politics sunk to when UKIP are seen as credible opposition...

Dave would have run off and left his kids behind in the pub, only to realise they were missing a few hours later.

They wouldn't have got near Cameron because of his security.

Farage deserves respect and the same protection Cameron has.

Lefty scum thinking they have the right to treat people like this out having a quiet family lunch...... bang out of order.

I totally agree.
Being "Ambushed" by those making out they were celebrating a birthday party says everything about them.
And I am NOT a supporter of UKIP.

Completely agree...I'm certainly no UKIP supporter but this is just shameful. The one thing I would question is how they knew he'd be in there in the first place to organise such a thing?

Which makes you UKIP supporters stonewall stonking barmy. You want to run us into the ground for the sake of some archaic ideological views? Free markets = free movement. That's part of capitalism and resultant globalisation. Get over it.

£50 billion quid. You can fvck right off Nigel.

Do have the methodology utilised to come up with this figure to verify whether it's correct or not?

According to the FT.

Didn't they say something similar about us not joining the Euro? Wasn't that supposed to bankrupt us? Did staying out not turn out to be the single best thing we could have done?
