England showing yet again why they arent the finished article. Mistakes in execution and decision making playing right into Irelands hand's.

Close and intense game though...but England need to cut out the errors otherwise Ireland will just move away

I'm not as confident about these as I was last time but I think this week it'll be:

Ireland to beat England by 10+.
France to beat Wales by 10+.
Scotland to beat Italy by 15+.

A very close first half. Both sides seem to be going straight down the middle I think if England can get the ball to the wings they could get some joy.

I think Ireland play a game that is a bit more pragmatic and practical that just means there is less chance for errors. Under Lancaster England have improved but they hit a plateau a couple of seasons ago and progress for me has slowed. They are making the same silly errors that cost points and errors that stop them getting them

I do love the 6N but as I said in an earlier pist the SH will be taking the WC relatively easily

England arent good enough. If you cant mentally cope in Dublin, when you know exactly what's coming then you arent good enough to be World Champs

I think Ireland are very good at the way they have chosen to play. No side will have an easy game against them and I thought England did come back quite strongly towards the end.

In the three matches so far, England haven't really started strongly. In the WC one of the SH sides could put quite a few points past them before they have started to play.

Yep - pretty much sums England up, mentally they are off the pace.

Irelands game relies on intensity and putting you under pressure, so lots of high kicks and lots of aggression around the breakdown. England yet again failed to deal with that, mentally as much as anything else. It cant be a surprise - Ireland have played that way since the dawn of time. It aint exactly free flowing but it works for them and ensures errors are kept down to a minimum.

The Welsh game against the Oirish now becomes huge for those two...should be a corker as I don't think Wales will be like the rabbit in headlights as England were.

I thought Ireland would win but that it would be more of a contest. Dan Cole apart Englands forwards simply didn't show up.

As for Wales they really ground out a result in Paris as much as anything, making sure they played in the right areas and kept it reasonably tight and pretty much let the French f*** up - Halfpenny's boot to keep the scoreboard ticking. Pretty dire game though really, as for the Scots - Christ they are poor - it looked like Cotter had them moving in the right direction but they are yet again peddling backwards in the 6N.

I hope the fans at the match have got neck supports ready for the Wales - Ireland game tomorrow. I think the ball will be in orbit for most of the match.

Obviously well happy that we won but what a great example of refereeing. He set his stall out in the first half, applied the rules the same to each incident and I thought he was excellent.

The welsh tackling today was awesome..... yes awesome!

Ireland kept up the pressure but couldn't break them down...... a deserved welsh victory. Great match... for me the best of the tournament.

England made very hard work of their victory and will need to up their game in the final match if they want to win.

Wayne Barnes is getting stick but I totally agree - just watched the game and he was very good (and you cant always say that about him).

England should have put 50 points on Scotland - Lancaster must be spitting in private because that game scorewise was a lot closer than it had any right to be

Really hoping the Italians give the French a shoeing today.

Going to be a great last weekend whatever

I couldn't believe the first 20-30 minutes of the England game. England seemed to have so much going forward I don't think a 20 point lead would have been unreasonable but fair play to Scotland they came back well.

I can't understand why Barnes is getting stick. He gave very clear instructions and, to me, seemed consistent in his application of the rules throughout the game. I'm not sure you can ask any more of a ref. Some football refs could learn from his performance.

He can be inconsistent to say the least but yesterday he got most right for me. Poitre in the England game had a decent one as well.

Wales deserved it as well - although Ireland did what England did at Dublin and seemed to freeze at the start

Next week will be fabulous - just wish the games were going off at the same time though
