In these days of nonsensical 'political correctness', it wouldn't surprise me if the the pilot was a woman and instead of thinking about how to successfully navigate a plane she started thinking about shoes, what to cook her husband for dinner, kittens and make up and then smashed the Airbus into a mountain. I reckon that even I'd get that right first time Afraid so. More likely practising how to avoid detection, or how to shut down systems, than the crashing part. But to do that, wouldn't you need an actual simulator (ie the big physical mock up of the plane cockpit). I can't imagine people having those in their house. I wouldn't imagine so, so long as the simulator data is up to date. The shut down procedures could have been mocked up (role played) as he'd know where they'd all be within the actual plane itself. I don't think he needed to practise the crashing part, as you say we've all crashed MS flight simulator enough. Maybe he practised doing it without any passengers figuring out what was going on though? Optimistic as ever
