R.I.P staffie. I've not been around for a few days and just picked up this tragic news. I never met the great man, but, like loads of others, he selflessly helped me out lots of times and his links were invaluable. A true gent and a massive loss to the Palace community. Thanks for everything.

It's quite some time since I posted on HOL, mainly due to a severe lack of available time. I am saddened to read this morning of staffie's passing. Part of the HOL furniture, and the fact that so many have posted tributes and condolences says a great deal about what he did, what he was to people, and that being an Eagle isn't just about following the club we all love. CPFC Family. And I suspect he would be very humbled by the amount of posts for him. It's a place on the HOL that will likely never be filled so may I also take this opportunity to thank him for everything he did, and leave my utmost respects to someone who genuinely was CPFC Family. staffie, may you Rest In Peace sir.

I can only echo everything being said on this post about the Great Man. Totally shocked to read of his passing. Will I ever know who he really was? I hope so. He is already greatly missed.

Posted straight after hearing the news of your passing, but felt I had to do again. Still hurting mate, even though I only knew you via private messages. Not looking forward to your absents on Saturday. It just won't be the same again. God Bless you staffie.

Have only talked to Staffie on here a few times terrible news. All my thoughts and prayers are with Staffies family and friends at this sad time. RIP Staffie a pure legend!

Isn't this a little early for gold talk? There will be HOLers who will miss the thread, I suggest it's better in Palace talk until after the Hull game.

I just wanted to lift the mood slightly, if I may. I recall staffie bemoaning the fact he couldn't get a PO final ticket for Watford. When I said I had a 'spare' he could have, he nearly ripped my arm off. And when Kevin Phillips smashed the penalty into the back of the Watford net, he had a smile so intense, it looked liked it had been chiselled into his face. So many man-hugs with total strangers. Happy Days

I've only just found out about this and am struggling to believe it. Sounds stupid but I always liked the sense of stability his posts brought to the site...there would always be links, always be a team line-up and they would always...ALWAYS be in the same format. I am missing it already, RIP to the great man and the best contributor this site has ever had.
