If you read through most threads you will find that they often develop beyond a strict discussion of the original post. My question is a simple one, if immigration is of so much benefit, why shouldn't we actively encourage it - perhaps pay people to come here? No one is prepared to answer - I wonder why?

Right enough of this shyte. Who thinks uncontrolled boarders or unchecked immigration to the UK would be a good thing for the economy ? Simple yes no will do.
